This week I will share with you something slightly different from all the articles that have been presented these past months.
My friend Mel, is starting a new project entitled “Are You Grateful?” and he granted me the immense honour of writing its first text. Mel Kaye is a man who encourages others to be the best they can and strive for success with happiness as their partner.
Please find below the inaugural text I wrote for Mel’s latest undertaking:
“I’m grateful for...
…life. I thank the Creator for my existence, which would be impossible if He hadn’t created my wonderful family, and my ancestors. I’m grateful because my brother and I were the reason why they existed, the same way my children and nephews (and their kids) are the motive for us to be.
I’m grateful for all the good moments in my life, which brought me great happiness:
- Being born in Mozambique
- Travelling through so many countries
- Interacting with different people and countries
- Family gatherings
- The hours invested in reading books and acquiring culture
And the most special one
- When my fiancé proposed to me.
I am also grateful for all the “bad” moments because in the end they came to be a good growth tool. I learned many things with life vicissitudes (how to never quit, how to stay focused despite negative distractions, how to be objective, how to stay strong) and for that reason I say: thank you!
I have God in my life: Thank you!
I am a happy and healthy person: Thank you!
I face life with a smile on my face: Thank you!
I have a positive Attitude, I complain with style and I am grateful for being whom I am!”

I feel you have really delved into the task at hand with tender gloves, dexterity and grace. Everything that you have mentioned each has a significant place in your heart that has shaped your destiny. You are a beautiful tapestry, an epic novel slowly turning your pages to reveal life.
I don't think there are really any bad moments because like you said, they too teach us to go forward.

It is beautiful how you are so thankful to God and Max it is always wonderful how you are so thankful and grateful for your family and heritage, a precious gift….
You seem to have a strong sense of legacy, yet at the same time engagement with the present and anticipation of the future, nicely balanced…. LOL Consider that one a gift…
How many children would you like to have?
What a wonderful tapestry of life to be grateful for! You brought this Scripture to mind for me Max (and what a kind gift you give my friend to draw my mind to God’s Word):
Sing to God a thanksgiving hymn,
play music on your instruments to God,
Who fills the sky with clouds,
preparing rain for the earth,
Then turning the mountains green with grass,
feeding both cattle and crows.
He's not impressed with horsepower;
the size of our muscles means little to him.
Those who fear God get God's attention;
they can depend on his strength.
- - Psalm 147:7-11
You place a smile upon my lips and warm thoughts on my heart in anticipation of your upcoming marriage, you are both in my prayers….marriage is such a generous gift from God….
The bad moments always make me think of this….
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

I believe that when we are grateful for life, for our existence, for our family and friends we become closer to God; for we have understood the purpose of being here, we have understood His plan for us. Therefore each night, when sleeping, a grateful soul is allowed to travel up to the Lord and have a small chat with Him lol...(can you imagine a soul taking the boat to meet the Lord? LOL)

He gave me the opportunity of reincarnating in a great family, and for that I will be eternally thankful *bowing*!

Max there are so many things I am gratefull for, Family my Marriage, but have you ever wondered why God choose you, to create you, it blows me away that I was choosen, maybe not for anything special in mans eyes, but just to be, to exsist and one day be with the lord, by the way I have mentioned this before, I really feel that God created the heavens for a purpose, I will be getting a first class tour of them all when it is my time.
