The Kiss

Kiss, Beijo, Bacio, Beso, Baiser, Fili (Φιλί), Kuss, Neshika (נשיקה)...
A kiss is much more than just a proof of affection or a greeting sign; it is also a sign of communication that when accompanied with the proper feeling, intent or goal it transforms itself in a whole new language.
This article could address the anthropological, social and scientific notion of a kiss; however the purpose for this post is to focus on the succulent details of that most wanted moment that makes people be nervous prior to the act and gives the chills down one’s back when performing that same act.

Two people are together. It is not like they are particularly in love but they wish to kiss each other (they feel drawn to one another)…what will the kiss be like? Lips come together, immediately the mouth blossoms; their movable organ begins to taste each other (sometimes one of them is not that great of a kisser and so uses his tongue as a mop wiping the floor – a total mess), saliva may (or not) reach the corner of one’s mouth (this is the time when one of them will open his eyes and beg for it to end)…the kiss ends and the couple engages in a coy conversation…

Two people are friends. They spend so much time together that one-day they decide to kiss. What would it be like? Lips touch, one of them abruptly intrudes the other’s mouth with his tongue…they stop. The intruder needs to be taught how to kiss: caress with lips, play with its surface a bit; gently open the mouth and close it again; play some more on the surface; open the mouth and gently allow the tongue to play around…gently…enjoy the moment…stop. One of the friends gets all excited thinking that this may lead to something more; the “teacher” friend suggests that he takes his acquired knowledge and practices it with someone else…

A couple of tacit foes. They go to the same places; they provoke each other, they pretend to be friendly. One day, in a public place, they fail to continue disguising their animosity for one another and so one of them decides to communicate to the other that the day would come when he’d be “taken cared of” by giving him the kiss of death. The other acknowledges the receipt of such communication by wiping his mouth with the back of his hand…

A couple is incredibly in love. In fact it is more than love: it is a merge of love and passion. It comes the day when they are about to give their first kiss. Can you imagine how it will be like? They look in each other’s eyes (in silence they decree that no words are allowed); their heads approach slowly (they’re with the butterflies). The lips touch (their eyes close); they can feel each other’s pulp merging; synchronised mouth disengagement (each own breath forms an energetic field that is about to declare their union); gentle, nice & slow movement of the tongue (a tango is being performed now); they stop. One of them bites all so gently the other’s lower lip; they look straight in the eye and summon each other to recommence the tango that will lead to fusion…

A kiss is the prelude to sex (not just the fact that it may lead to it, but also an indicator of how good, caring, considering one will be during the coitus). Through a kiss one can acquire all the info one needs to assess if one’s partner will make love to him/her; have sex or simply yield to passion; will he/she command or be commanded…a kiss never lies (if one is willing to see the truth).
It is rather interesting how the French named kiss (Baiser [n]) and copulation (Baiser [v]) the same; as if saying that not only one thing will lead to another but also emphasising the fact that both acts should be done with the same level of commitment and quality.

Kissing is an Art that should always be well executed no matter the reasons behind it (lust, education, generosity, vengeance, love, passion…).

  1. Max,

"A kiss is much more than just a proof of affection or a greeting sign; it is also a sign of communication that when accompanied with the proper feeling, intent or goal it transforms itself in a whole new language."

Could that be the language of love?

"Two people are together. It is not like they are particularly in love but they wish to kiss each other (they feel drawn to one another)…what will the kiss be like?"

It all starts in the head, but that can also cause anxiety, so there has to be a balance.

"Lips come together, immediately the mouth blossoms; their movable organ begins to taste each other (sometimes one of them is not that great of a kisser and so uses his tongue as a mop wiping the floor."

ROFL. I think people believe in the "Hollywood kiss," which is staged for film and they wind up doing it all wrong. I have also observed that it is not necessarily technique more than it is the shape of one's mouth and one's partner's mouth. It's all science.

"...a total mess), saliva may (or not) reach the corner of one’s mouth (this is the time when one of them will open his eyes and beg for it to end)…the kiss ends and the couple engages in a coy conversation…"

Still laughing. Okay it is awkward and whatever they talk about, they are still thinking about what just happened and one is hoping that it doesn't happen again.

"Two people are friends. They spend so much time together that one day they decide to kiss. What would it be like? Lips touch, one of them abruptly intrudes the other’s mouth with his tongue…they stop."

Don't you want to say, "What's with the urgency to exercise vicious tongue lashing?"

"One of the friends gets all excited thinking that this may lead to something more; the “teacher” friend suggests that he takes his acquired knowledge and practices it with someone else…"

Okay, I can't stop laughing now. (Getting tissue for my eyes.) This is when the student becomes the teacher and is willing to "teach" all who are interested. School's in session.

"A couple of tacit foes. They go to the same places; they provoke each other, they pretend to be friendly. One day, in a public place, they fail to continue disguising their animosity for one another and so one of them decides to communicate to the other that the day would come when he’d be “taken cared of” by giving him the kiss of death. The other acknowledges the receipt of such communication by wiping his mouth with the back of his hand…"

Funny how something so beautiful can be so deadly.

"They look in each other’s eyes (in silence they decree that no words are allowed); their heads approach slowly (they’re with the butterflies). The lips touch (their eyes close); they can feel each other’s pulp merging; synchronised mouth disengagement (each own breath forms an energetic field that is about to declare their union); gentle, nice & slow movement of the tongue (a tango is being performed now); they stop. One of them bites all so gently the other’s lower lip; they look straight in the eye and summon each other to recommence the tango that will lead to fusion…"

That is such a sweet dance.

"Through a kiss one can acquire all the info one needs to assess if one’s partner will make love to him/her; have sex or simply yield to passion; will he/she command or be commanded…a kiss never lies (if one is willing to see the truth)."

I think the truth is also in the eyes...the voice...the touch...the heart...the breathing and listening.

"It is rather interesting how the French named kiss (Baiser [n]) and copulation (Baiser [v]) the same; as if saying that not only one thing will lead to another but also emphasising the fact that both acts should be done with the same level of commitment and quality."

That is interesting. Leave it to the French to come up with that one.

"Kissing is an Art that should always be well executed no matter the reasons behind it (lust, education, generosity, vengeance, love, passion…)."

Agreed. The art is in the intent.

Great post. I won't be so bold as to ask what brought it on? It will be our secret. LOL. I take it that you had a great weekend.

  2. Alexys,

This will sound odd (or sheer flattery, but it is not): it was cloudy just now but once I clicked on your comment the sun actually came out! Girl, this must be a sign of some sort ;D!

"Could that be the language of love?" - between you and me: yes, it is definitely love!

"It all starts in the head, but that can also cause anxiety, so there has to be a balance." - LOL I think that most humans have experienced this (specially in Western[ised] cultures)...kissing a person they don't particularly love just for the sake of kissing, just for the sake of fulfilling a desire...

"ROFL. I think people believe in the "Hollywood kiss," which is staged for film and they wind up doing it all wrong. I have also observed that it is not necessarily technique more than it is the shape of one's mouth and one's partner's mouth. It's all science." - LOL it's so true! They try to emulate the kiss they watch on the screen and then...a messy reproduction *nodding*! I agree that there may be incompatible mouths and in these cases people should invest the time to study the shape of the mouth and design a kissing strategy (if they are to make the best of an already doomed situation) LOL *nodding*....

"Still laughing. Okay it is awkward and whatever they talk about, they are still thinking about what just happened and one is hoping that it doesn't happen again." - *laughing too*...it is unbelievable what people talk about when experiencing this kind of situation (they are able of talking about the weather, go figure...the weather!). LOL oh, yeah...it must never happen again lol...

"Don't you want to say, "What's with the urgency to exercise vicious tongue lashing?"" - LOL LOL LOL I should've probably said that, but then I thought that I had been cruel enough in the previous section LOL....

"Okay, I can't stop laughing now. (Getting tissue for my eyes.) This is when the student becomes the teacher and is willing to "teach" all who are interested. School's in session." - ROFL! Absolutely!!! It is time for the pupil to spread his wings lol. This is also a typical situation...and a very amusing one too (for the teacher: it is like he/she takes pleasure on, and/or feels that he/she holds some sort of power by, rejecting the pupil...very interesting).

"Funny how something so beautiful can be so deadly." - indeed, my friend; indeed...

"That is such a sweet dance." - one of the best, if I may say so! ;D

"I think the truth is also in the eyes...the voice...the touch...the heart...the breathing and listening." - I would agree with you 100%, if I hadn't witnessed how some people can deceive with their eyes and voice (natural born actors) *nodding*. But I have to agree 66% with you on touch, heart, breathing and listening (the latter is extremely important, but not many listen; cause they get lost in the feeling of the moment).

"That is interesting. Leave it to the French to come up with that one." - it is indeed. LOL...

"Agreed. The art is in the intent." - Amen! :D

"Great post. I won't be so bold as to ask what brought it on? It will be our secret. LOL. I take it that you had a great weekend." - thank you, darling *bowing*! LOL LOL Love brought it on...and the rest will be our secret :)! I did indeed...lol....

  3. What a beautiful picture you have chosen for this post!

This is a very interesting article, and I think you have hit upon a key point. "A kiss is...also an indicator of how good, caring, considering one will be during the coitus." I never thought about this before, but I think you are right. Even when two are in a loving relationship, different kinds of kisses send different messages. There is a "hello" kiss, but there is also the kiss of passion. These two kinds of kisses are very different.

I do think that a kiss is a very intimate thing, and very often in this world people misuse it. They feel "obligated" to kiss their date. It becomes something obligatory instead of natural.

One other interesting sort of kiss for you to consider. I was reading about body language. The author said that often kissing can be used as a demonstration of dominance. A woman walks in the room and walks from person to person kissing them on the cheek. her subconcious motive isn't necessarily so much that she loves each of the people, but she is showing dominance in the room.

    Great article, very thought provoking!

  4. Hello D!!

"What a beautiful picture you have chosen for this post!" - it is, isn't it? When I first saw it I saved it cause I knew I just had to use it in one of my posts...it is gorgeous! And that dress....*sigh*!

"This is a very interesting article, and I think you have hit upon a key point." - thank you, my friend :D! I am glad it struck your fancy!

"Even when two are in a loving relationship, different kinds of kisses send different messages. There is a "hello" kiss, but there is also the kiss of passion. These two kinds of kisses are very different." - I couldn't agree more with you! And then there is the sulk kiss to indicate that someone didn't like a certain situation but the love interest is willing to put things behind him (however she/he lets it be for that moment while thinking of a new strategy to strike again later on lol *nodding*).

"I do think that a kiss is a very intimate thing, and very often in this world people misuse it. They feel "obligated" to kiss their date. It becomes something obligatory instead of natural." - I agree that it is extremely intimate and that people have banalized it *nodding*. Again, I agree...a kiss should be a natural flowing process (and when it is so it is extremely beautiful and special)!

"One other interesting sort of kiss for you to consider. I was reading about body language. The author said that often kissing can be used as a demonstration of dominance. A woman walks in the room and walks from person to person kissing them on the cheek. her subconcious motive isn't necessarily so much that she loves each of the people, but she is showing dominance in the room." - this is extremely interesting, D! But I don't know if it applies to the Portuguese, French, Italian and Spanish cultures (and some other cultures too) cause we kiss on the cheek all the time, anyone, anytime...so it would be interesting to see how that study would work on this side of the world. But I can appreciate that in a culture where kissing on the cheek is not that frequent the example you gave could reveal itself to be true...

"Great article, very thought provoking!" - thank you, darling *bowing*!

And thank you so much for your delightful comment; it is a real pleasure to exchange ideas with you :D!

"This will sound odd (or sheer flattery, but it is not): it was cloudy just now but once I clicked on your comment the sun actually came out! Girl, this must be a sign of some sort ;D!"

It IS a sign - that you are loved. It's your love shining throughout the sky.

"Could that be the language of love?" - between you and me: yes, it is definitely love!"

    That's always nice to hear.

"I think that most humans have experienced this (specially in Western[ised] cultures)...kissing a person they don't particularly love just for the sake of kissing, just for the sake of fulfilling a desire..."

The Greeks kiss both cheeks as a greeting and now some Europeans are adopting that technique.

"They try to emulate the kiss they watch on the screen and then...a messy reproduction *nodding*! I agree that there may be incompatible mouths and in these cases people should invest the time to study the shape of the mouth and design a kissing strategy (if they are to make the best of an already doomed situation) LOL *nodding*...."

I think that they should really pay attention to the shape, position, noses, etc. (even that makes me laugh.)

"...it is unbelievable what people talk about when experiencing this kind of situation (they are able of talking about the weather, go figure...the weather!). LOL oh, yeah...it must never happen again lol..."

    ROFL

"Don't you want to say, "What's with the urgency to exercise vicious tongue lashing?"" - LOL LOL LOL I should've probably said that, but then I thought that I had been cruel enough in the previous section LOL...."

We must never be cruel in the game of love and life.

"It is time for the pupil to spread his wings lol. This is also a typical situation...and a very amusing one too (for the teacher: it is like he/she takes pleasure on, and/or feels that he/she holds some sort of power by, rejecting the pupil...very interesting)."

I once heard that this is the main reason young men date older women - to learn what they can and then teach someone their own age. (Demi Moore watch out. Mariah, you too - can you believe she married Nick Cannon after dating 6 weeks?)

"I have to agree 66% with you on touch, heart, breathing and listening (the latter is extremely important, but not many listen; cause they get lost in the feeling of the moment)."

    I agree 1000%!

"That's always nice to hear." - "I got nuttin' but love 4 ya...I got nuttin' but love" (Tupac)!

"The Greeks kiss both cheeks as a greeting and now some Europeans are adopting that technique." - LOL also the Portuguese, the Spanish, Italians, French...we all kiss both cheeks as a greeting - it is a cultural trait. Even when we write to people (close ones or informally) we finish with "Beijinhos (kisses - Portuguese)", "Besitos (Spanish)", "Baci (Italian)" and "Bisous (French)"...we are a bunch of kissers lol...

"I think that they should really pay attention to the shape, position, noses, etc. (even that makes me laugh.)" - LOL but you are right, you know!!

    "ROFL" - LOL....

"We must never be cruel in the game of love and life." - I agree...that is why I always tell people that they must respect even their "booty calls"; not loving (or being in love with) someone is not an excuse to disrespect him/her...

"I once heard that this is the main reason young men date older women - to learn what they can and then teach someone their own age. (Demi Moore watch out. Mariah, you too - can you believe she married Nick Cannon after dating 6 weeks?)" - there are cases where young men actually love their older wives and stay with them until the end (but this is very rare). The majority does as you said *nodding*! Mariah did what!!??? She married Nick Cannon? That boy who raps and has that MTV show? When was this, and haven't these people learned anything with that girl...what's her name....Spears? *nodding*

"ROFL. ROFL. ROFL. Tears coming now. Still rolling on floor laughing. Thunderous paroxysm!" - LOL LOL LOL LOL *tears in eyes* I thought you'd like the term LOL LOL...but it's true though...

"But that is what that situation invites. The milk is free. I don't get the whole "friends with benefits" thing." - I know that it invites it but still class and respect should also be applied to "raibown friends" lol. The concept of "friends with benefits" is all very beautiful when one is a teenager (with some boundaries on the benefits) but once we reach adulthood...I find it ridiculous and an expression of fear of real relationships and of all the things that come with it...people, grow up.

"Yes, Mariah married him almost two weeks ago. They already sold the wedding photos to People magazine for 1 million dollars." - oh my...what an odd couple! But oh well, I wish them all the best! $1 Million more in their pockets...do you think they'll split it?

I owe it to my mom: she always made describe things to detail thus the "talent" as you put it :D!

"And your choice of the painting--it goes so well....The stairs and the open doorway themselves being metaphors, and the dramatic juxtaposition of light and shadow adding to this effect!" - oh yes....this painting is gorgeous!! As I was telling a friend here, when I saw this picture for the first time I just knew that I had to use it in one of my articles! The doorway is a symbol of invitation, openness, surrender; and the stairs may mean the path of the relationship...beautiful! The light/shadow juxtaposition is telling us that their love is secretive...that their encounters were not suppose to occur yet their love is stronger, they can't control themselves...ah, c'est la folie :D!

"Bravo, my writer friend!" - thank you once again *bowing*! You are so kind!

  23. Alexys,

"The concept of "friends with benefits" is all very beautiful when one is a teenager (with some boundaries on the benefits) but once we reach adulthood."

Oh no, teens should NOT be doing that! They are not mature to handle adult situations.

"...I find it ridiculous and an expression of fear of real relationships and of all the things that come with it...people, grow up."

LOL. So true. The fear of intimacy and the Peter Pan/Wendy syndrome (fear of growing up.) Real relationships are beautiful and hard to maintain the shine.

"...what an odd couple! But oh well, I wish them all the best! $1 Million more in their pockets...do you think they'll split it?"

That's interesting because in saying that "I think" they may split is not saying that "I hope" they split. I look at the track record of Nick and see that he has been engaged 3 times within the last 2 years or so and I say to myself, "He just wants to marry someone - anyone." Then I look at MiMi and think, "She was already married where she felt like a prisoner. She is having too much fun to marry again." Then I look at the photos and I am reminded of J-Lo's marriage to Cris Judd and their People magazine cover when Cris was off to the side and J-Lo was in the center. (Talk about being self-centered!) It was very telling and their marriage lasted less than nine months. Which brings me back to MiMi and Nick. I look at their photos and see two people having fun and I can't tell it they realize they got married yet? I know they got tattoos of each others names when they tied the knot in the Bahamas. (always a bad sign.) They have since remarried at Magic Mountain (an amusement park in California) and now I hear they are planning a 4 million dollar wedding in New York (for their friends?) So I think they are infatuated with each other and I don't think 6 weeks is long enough to know if you want to spend the rest of your life with a person. Marriage should be taken serious, it's not a game. It is a lifetime commitment. I wish them the lessons that they need to learn from each other. We will see what happens?

"Jay Z and Beyonce's secret wedding - I didn't know that they wedding had been secret...did they also sell the wedding photos to a magazine?"

Max, darling if their marriage was secret, then why would they sell photos to a magazine? That would be hilarious! LOL. (Pausing at the thought.)

Seriously, they supposedly had a shot gun marriage because she is preggers. Let's hope the baby doesn't have Jay's lips. Can you imagine? LOL. They have not officially announced the marriage yet.

"Mariah sometimes becomes inspired! Have you listened to her latest song? The video is an absurd!!"

That song is awful. After being such a phenomenal record breaker with (The Emancipation Of MiMi), she followed it up with this *&%$!

"Oh no, teens should NOT be doing that! They are not mature to handle adult situations." - oh no...not THAT, I meant that teens should experience making out (that is why I said that there should be boundaries on the benefits for them): kiss, kiss and kiss. I don't know your position on this; but I do not agree with teens having sex (at least under 18) cause they are not mature enough to deal with it...plus with all the misconceptions of sex going around nowadays, I agree even less. Kids should be kids, teens should be teens and adults should be adults (but nowadays people seem to want to mix up roles - kids want to be teens, teens want to play adulthood, and adults want to act like kids *nodding*)...

"Real relationships are beautiful and hard to maintain the shine." - so true, darling! Hard to maintain the shine but worthwhile the effort :D!

"Which brings me back to MiMi and Nick. I look at their photos and see two people having fun and I can't tell it they realize they got married yet? I know they got tattoos of each others names when they tied the knot in the Bahamas. (always a bad sign.)" - JLo and her marriage record is a mess as well, but oh well. LOL LOL they have tattoos of each other's names? LOL oh no...that is definitely a bad sign. I used to go to the same health club as a girl who used to date a famous soccer player (in Lisbon) and she also had his name tattooed on her shoulder; their relationship lasted 6 months and today she is in her fourth relationship (I wonder if it is because she still has the soccer player's name tattooed on her shoulder) *nodding*.

"They have since remarried at Magic Mountain (an amusement park in California) and now I hear they are planning a 4 million dollar wedding in New York (for their friends?) So I think they are infatuated with each other and I don't think 6 weeks is long enough to know if you want to spend the rest of your life with a person." - a marriage in an amusement park? No comments...
Mariah has already spent big in a marriage with Tommy Mottola and it didn't work...so it may be a bad sign (another one) to spend that much money on another marriage in NY. I agree, 6 weeks is nothing...they didn't even allow themselves the time to reflect, they just did it in the spur of the moment (so it seems, at least...).

"Marriage should be taken serious, it's not a game. It is a lifetime commitment. I wish them the lessons that they need to learn from each other. We will see what happens?" - Absolutely!! It is a huge step: it is sharing one's intimacy, one's deepest secrets, one's air to breathe; it is to see the other's underwear tossed to the side; it is to witness the delights of being human (flatulence, urinating, defecating, expectorating, spitting, cleaning one's nose; dishevelled heads etc)...it is seeing a person off the spotlight! Does one love a person to the point of seeing beyond one's glamour, weaknesses and imperfections? Is one willing to fight to make it last when facing hard times? This is a summary, but nevertheless important questions that should be asked before getting married (and there should be granted a reflection period; I mean: what's the hurry?)...

"Max, darling if their marriage was secret, then why would they sell photos to a magazine? That would be hilarious! LOL. (Pausing at the thought.)" - LOL LOL good point LOL! However if it was secret how come we know about it then? Cause yesterday (after sending you the message) I remembered that it was in the news here when they got married; the European press knew about it...so, it wasn't that secretive...

"Seriously, they supposedly had a shot gun marriage because she is preggers. Let's hope the baby doesn't have Jay's lips. Can you imagine? LOL. They have not officially announced the marriage yet." - Beyoncé is preggers? Oh, how sweet (God bless)!!! ROFL let's hope not, poor kid...Jay's lips are terrible; I don't usually talk about other women's men but Jay Z is not fortunate when it comes to beauty! As I said, we heard about their marriage here a month or two ago...Hmmm...that is weird...

"That song is awful. After being such a phenomenal record breaker with (The Emancipation Of MiMi), she followed it up with this *&%$!" - LOL LOL it is indeed a big time c***! I was so shocked at the video mainly, cause to tell you the truth I don't even remember the tune of the song...all I recall is that awful video *nodding*! "The emancipation of MiMi" is a great CD, loved it! But this one...*spit*!

"Confessions Pt. 2 (Usher)" - Love that song!!!

    Let it Burn (Usher) Cheers

  25. WOW!!! Such an intriguing post, Max, but you always write so well. ;-D

KUDOS to you! I love the way you describe different types of kisses. And I didn't know that French words for kiss and copulation were the same. Interesting info! ;-D

Have a BLESSED weekend! Your wedding is coming SO near he he he he...Time DOES fly! ;-D Can't wait to see you as a bride. ;-D

  26. Max,

"I don't know your position on this; but I do not agree with teens having sex (at least under 18) cause they are not mature enough to deal with it...plus with all the misconceptions of sex going around nowadays."

I agree. Plus with teen pregnancies are skyrocketing, they should learn to keep their hands and other body parts to themselves. On the other hand, it is not realistic, so I think that they should just stay in school - all day. That way, they won't have time to have fun. ;D

I also think peer pressure is a major issue and partly the blame, but education starts at home.

"Kids should be kids, teens should be teens and adults should be adults (but nowadays people seem to want to mix up roles - kids want to be teens, teens want to play adulthood, and adults want to act like kids."

    Hear. Hear.

"LOL LOL they have tattoos of each other's names? LOL oh no...that is definitely a bad sign."

I think getting tattoos of your lover is always the death of the relationship. Remember Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder? He had one on his arm that read, "Winona Forever" and when they broke up, he altered it to "Wino Forever."

"I used to go to the same health club as a girl who used to date a famous soccer player (in Lisbon) and she also had his name tattooed on her shoulder; their relationship lasted 6 months and today she is in her fourth relationship (I wonder if it is because she still has the soccer player's name tattooed on her shoulder) *nodding*."

    People do strange things.

"Mariah has already spent big in a marriage with Tommy Mottola and it didn't work...so it may be a bad sign (another one) to spend that much money on another marriage in NY."

I know, that devastated her (understandably.) I don't think she ever got over it.

"Absolutely!! It is a huge step: it is seeing a person off the spotlight! Does one love a person to the point of seeing beyond one's glamour, weaknesses and imperfections? Is one willing to fight to make it last when facing hard times?"

Very true. One has to be in it to win it.

"However if it was secret how come we know about it then?"

LOL. Max darling, don't you know that [almost] nothing gets past me? LOL.

"I remembered that it was in the news here when they got married; the European press knew about it...so, it wasn't that secretive..."

You and I and others know, yet the couple themselves don't know that we know, that is except when eye witnesses who attended the "secret" nuptials on a rooftop in Manhattan (NY) started blabbing. To top it off Mary J. Blige blurted it out at her concert. (They still have not officially confirmed), but I am sure after that, they wanted to drag Mary off stage and beat her with a stick for blurting it out. She put them on full blast!

"Beyoncé is preggers? Oh, how sweet (God bless)!!! ROFL let's hope not, poor kid...Jay's lips are terrible; I don't usually talk about other women's men but Jay Z is not fortunate when it comes to beauty!"

ROFL. In some circles, lips like that are known as "Soup coolers."

"I was so shocked at the video mainly, cause to tell you the truth I don't even remember the tune of the song...all I recall is that awful video."

I still haven't seen it, but I believe you.

"The emancipation of MiMi" is a great CD, loved it!"

Exceptional! Good production by Jermaine Dupri.

"Confessions Pt. 2 (Usher)" - Love that song!!!"

Me too. Also produced by Jermaine Dupri.

"KUDOS to you! I love the way you describe different types of kisses. And I didn't know that French words for kiss and copulation were the same. Interesting info! ;-D" - epharisto! lol I am glad you loved it, Girl...:D! Yes, same word for two different yet inter-related actions...very interesting indeed ;D!

"Have a BLESSED weekend! Your wedding is coming SO near he he he he...Time DOES fly! ;-D Can't wait to see you as a bride. ;-D" - thank you, Amelia *bowing*! It is true *happy face*! LOL...I can't wait to see myself as a bride either lol ;D!

  28. Alexys,

"I agree. Plus with teen pregnancies are skyrocketing, they should learn to keep their hands and other body parts to themselves." - that is sad *nodding*, specially because most of them will drop out of school to work, others will give their babies to adoption...too much emotional stress and trauma; that could be avoided if they'd "keep their hands and other body parts to themselves" (lol loved this part)!

"On the other hand, it is not realistic, so I think that they should just stay in school - all day. That way, they won't have time to have fun. ;D" - LOL true!

"I also think peer pressure is a major issue and partly the blame, but education starts at home." - couldn't agree more, girl! It is funny, here kids don't suffer that kind of peer pressure; the pressure they suffer is to have cell-phones, Nike shoes, Levi's pants and other silly material things *nodding*. It would be interesting to study why the differences between the two countries...

"I think getting tattoos of your lover is always the death of the relationship. Remember Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder? He had one on his arm that read, "Winona Forever" and when they broke up, he altered it to "Wino Forever."" - that is silly! If you really love someone you do not need to tattoo their name on your skin; show it through actions, through little meaningful things etc...
Plus when you remarry your second spouse may feel uncomfortable by that tattoo...can you imagine?

"People do strange things." - absolutely!

"I know, that devastated her (understandably.) I don't think she ever got over it." - as I told you before, I think she went a bit crazy after the divorce, poor thing! The obsession by showing off her body, breast augmentation....you name it....

"LOL. Max darling, don't you know that [almost] nothing gets past me? LOL." - LOL LOL LOL I can see now! You are the media bella mafia LOL! ;D

"You and I and others know, yet the couple themselves don't know that we know, that is except when eye witnesses who attended the "secret" nuptials on a rooftop in Manhattan (NY) started blabbing." - LOL LOL I hear you LOL!

"To top it off Mary J. Blige blurted it out at her concert. (They still have not officially confirmed), but I am sure after that, they wanted to drag Mary off stage and beat her with a stick for blurting it out. She put them on full blast!" - no!!??? Don't tell me that she fell off the wagon?

"ROFL. In some circles, lips like that are known as "Soup coolers."" - ROFL....."soup coolers" ROFL......LOL LOL LOL that is a good one LOL *nodding*!

"I still haven't seen it, but I believe you." - girl, you'll be shocked!

"Exceptional! Good production by Jermaine Dupri." - yeah, I watched him on an interview saying that he had given her a chance when no one would! He is a great producer!

"Me too. Also produced by Jermaine Dupri." - A genius!

"You Make Me Wanna (Usher)" - wasn't this song also produced by him? Let me check.....yep, it was him! Great sound!

    You Remind Me (Usher) Cheers

  30. Nice visiting your blog after a long time & Well after reading the post & the intense debate, I'm really short of words & can really comprehend the beauty, joy & intensity of an ideal kiss...leaving all the negativities behind, I believe there can't be no better real expression of love and care than a beautiful kiss between two souls...even a simple peck in the cheek can really mean a lot...it indeed is an art but with true and real emotions, it just comes alive...lovely reading!

  31. Max,

"It is funny, here kids don't suffer that kind of peer pressure; the pressure they suffer is to have cell-phones, Nike shoes, Levi's pants and other silly material things *nodding*. It would be interesting to study why the differences between the two countries."

They have the same pressures here. Though some kids are on state assistance, they are the first ones to have the latest shoes, clothes, etc. Some kids even get killed for their shoes. (sadly) When the new Gameboy came out, kids were lined up outside stores for 3 days (even slept on the street overnight) and before the store opened, the ones in the front of the line were beaten by gang members. There probably isn't that much difference in the two cultures but we may have to investigate?

"I think she [Mariah] went a bit crazy after the divorce, poor thing! The obsession by showing off her body, breast augmentation....you name it...."

And when the film Glitter bombed, so did her self-esteem. She had a breakdown.

"You are the media bella mafia."

Love that title. I shall keep it. Thanks.

"Don't tell me that she [Mary] fell off the wagon?"

No, she is still cool. Taking steroids now. Another big controversy.

    Caught Up (Usher) Cheers

  32. Hi! The word “kiss” expressed in crude and rustic terms would be: snog, peck, suck face, pash or mush.

Kissing is one thing we all have in common, no matter whether we are travelling in a Bentley or in an old bomb, no matter whether we are dining in the fine restaurants of Monte Carlo or on the beaches of Sydney, no matter whether we are rich or poor.

A kiss within a loving relationship is a delight, no matter who or what we are, and binds two lovers together. What comes next is up to the imagination!

    Take Care,
    Peter

  36. Alexys,

"They have the same pressures here. Though some kids are on state assistance, they are the first ones to have the latest shoes, clothes, etc." - shocking! The same happens here!

"Some kids even get killed for their shoes. (sadly)" - that is terrible! I had only heard of countries like Mozambique, where the same happens! But here, in Portugal, it hasn't happened yet (at least not to my knowledge).

"When the new Gameboy came out, kids were lined up outside stores for 3 days (even slept on the street overnight) and before the store opened, the ones in the front of the line were beaten by gang members." - that is sad *nodding*!!

  41. Hi Max, back again for something different this time round.

Your article has touched a nerve in me and although it took a little while to develop, I’d like to add a different slant on kissing.

It involves a father and his son’s.

When a son rejects his father’s kiss for the very first time, it marks his journey into manhood. I did the very same thing when I was young. I remember wiping my mouth and giving dear old dad, a terrible look.

His expression then, came back to haunt me when my sons gave me the very same look many moons ago when I’d tried to kiss them after dropping them off at school.

I don’t know where I got the idea from way back then, but it most probably came from watching other boys reject their father’s kisses and not wanting to stand out in the crowd, I followed suit.

It’s a sad day for all fathers but one that is to be expected, unfortunately.

    Take Care,
    Peter

  42. Hi Peter!!

"back again for something different this time round." - I am glad you are back, my friend *bowing*!

"Your article has touched a nerve in me and although it took a little while to develop, I’d like to add a different slant on kissing." - please do...

"When a son rejects his father’s kiss for the very first time, it marks his journey into manhood. I did the very same thing when I was young. I remember wiping my mouth and giving dear old dad, a terrible look." - I didn't know this cause for us, here (Latin people: Portugal, Spain, Italy, France), kissing between a father and son is quite normal even when they grow up & get married. But let me continue reading this interesting aspect of kissing...

"His expression then, came back to haunt me when my sons gave me the very same look many moons ago when I’d tried to kiss them after dropping them off at school." - it must have been daunting! I mean, one (in cultures similar to yours) knows that that day will come, but when it does come it frightens him a bit for it represents some sort of new beginning; new stage of life...his little boy is becoming a man (what if he doesn't need me anymore? must be the question that scares the most)...

"I don’t know where I got the idea from way back then, but it most probably came from watching other boys reject their father’s kisses and not wanting to stand out in the crowd, I followed suit." - I hear you! Perhaps it is some sort of ritual: a passage to manhood! Who knows...

"It’s a sad day for all fathers but one that is to be expected, unfortunately." - I can only imagine! I think mothers are luckier in that department: they always get the kisses (since we are born until they leave this world)!

Thank you so much for having shared this with us, mate *bowing*! I learned a lot here, today :D!

    Cheers
