Real Men

Real men need to be returned to us.

I am fatigued of the recently imposed version of men: males wearing makeup; males wanting to interfere with the feminine world (including discussing their menstruation); males being rude; males not knowing their place in the world; males being castrated...

Feminists woke up one day and declared war to men; and thus decided to torture lucid people with their follies – men were to completely change their social behaviour, for example:

  • Men are not to open the door for a lady: somehow darling feminists view this as an attack to the concept of equality. Apparently this sort of woman does not want to be respected (yes, because having a man opening the door for us is a sign of reverence).
  • Men are not to get up when a lady walks in a room: a terrorist attack to women’s sovereignty. Again, this is a sign of respect and I see nothing wrong with it; au contraire, it is rather flattering.
  • Men are not to pay bills or meals: another attack to women’s independence. Feminists are not being practical here for if a man wants to pay for things, women will be left with more money to invest in themselves and in their kids.
  • Men are not to throw a compliment and make sexy remarks: sexual harassment. Everybody knows that men, upon seeing a woman, must express themselves. As long as it’s not dirty and as long as they do not grope us...why castrate men? Furthermore, why pretend that we do not feel flattered?
  • Men are not to offer to help in certain situations: an insult to women’s intelligence. I’m intelligent and intellectual and I love it when men help me in whatever I need; when they teach me new things. I feel not diminished, by the contrary, I feel enriched by a fellow human.

Men are women’s complement and vice-versa. Men are not foes, for heaven’s sake.
Are there obnoxious males (whom we feel like beating up from dusk till dawn)? Yes, but women raised those men, so if we are to demand new social behaviours, we must start by the women so that they bring back real men into society.

  1. Amen to that!

It is difficult, however, for a mother to teach a son how to respect and honor a woman. Somethings are best taught and demonstrated by a father.

  2. *note to self: do not grope women*

Max dear…you broke your cardinal rule…didn’t leave anything to add ;)

    Fortunately I have a big mouth…

Ok, I am a rather manly man, I like sports, I play sports, I am competitive, I’m fairly tough (except when I hurt myself) and well I like the female form (specifically that of my darling wife)…I don’t shave my legs and I will not wear makeup, however I also like to talk hand bags and shoes…ah what to do? ;)

Looney stop all that groping mate!

  3. Ah, you don't like metrosexuals, as they are called nowadays?

I don't care much about them unless they start stealing my make-up (cream is okay). As long as there is respect, I'd rather live with a guy close to his feeling than with a macho ass!

  4. Livingsword, Loons aren't particularly adept at groping.

  5. Dear Max, the more I read and think of this post - the more I wished you could join us at the Oslo Blog Gathering in Norway. You see, I would love to prove to you (in person) that one can easily be a feminist as a man and also an elegant gentleman. The fact that I believe in equality, does not make me An eunuch you know ;-)

On the contrary: it makes life and the relation between man and woman even more challenging (read interesting!).

  6. Looney…

I think we have to ask Mrs. Looney ;)

  7. Zhu…

I agree with your thoughts on the “macho” sort of man but what makes you think that a “metrosexual” is “close to his feeling” and not being disingenuous? After all if he is trying to camouflage himself with makeup? I frequently find these kinds of guys are the sexist ones when women are not around…

  8. RennyBA…

    A thought…

I know a lot of feminists and none of them are interested in equality…I am not a feminist but I do believe in equality and complementarianism…we are equal but different…we compliment one another…the feminists I know declare that all (yes “all”) men want to rape women and that until all positions of authority are held by women they are not equal…the post-modern feminist movement is not that of 10-40 years ago…

  9. Hi Max,

Been a long time, sorry I lost track of your blog, I forgot to bookmark you...and I guess I missed lots of posts now since the first and last time I was here! Sorry dear!

I really like your post here! You have highlighted significant points as to why women are trying to 'kill' the real men in this world! Are we the culprits? But you are right, we should complement men and vice versa! That's best!

Thanks for sharing this post, I wish it will gain a wide readership so that all of us will be informed of this sad reality!

Have a nice day! And have a great week ahead! :)

    Love,

    Amity

  10. Hey Looney :D!

"It is difficult, however, for a mother to teach a son how to respect and honor a woman. Somethings are best taught and demonstrated by a father."

That is interesting, and most probably true (since men do tend to follow the male example). However, most women teach their sons how to be sexist (many times through their own behaviour)...

Looney, loved your comment: thanks :D!

    Cheers

    LOL LOL...

"Max dear…you broke your cardinal rule…didn’t leave anything to add ;)"

I did? Now that was a lapse...

    "Fortunately I have a big mouth…"

ROFL ROFL ROFL you said it, not me ROFL ROFL...

"Ok, I am a rather manly man, I like sports, I play sports, I am competitive, I’m fairly tough (except when I hurt myself) and well I like the female form (specifically that of my darling wife)…I don’t shave my legs and I will not wear makeup, however I also like to talk hand bags and shoes…ah what to do? ;)"

I like your sort of manly behaviour, LS...but I will not discuss hand bags and shoes with you...it would be ridiculous.
You see, I am a rather Woman, I like to hunt, to kick butts, I am competitive, I'm tough (even when I hurt myself) and I like the male form (specifically that of my adorable husband)...I wax my legs and I take care of my complexion, and I like to discuss shoes and bags with women who wear them and thus, know what they are talking about LOL...do you wear high-heeled shoes and hand bags? No...(I think)...

"Looney stop all that groping mate!"

  12. Hey Zhu :D!

"Ah, you don't like metrosexuals, as they are called nowadays?"

LOL no, I don't. They should pick a team and play.

"I don't care much about them unless they start stealing my make-up (cream is okay). As long as there is respect, I'd rather live with a guy close to his feeling than with a macho ass!"

ROFL. Being a real man doesn't mean macho ass (one day, I might share what I do to those); and men who are not afraid of their feelings are admirable, however...they shouldn't be whimpers either.

Zhu, thank you for your input: loved it :D!

    Cheers

  13. Hey Renny :D!

"Dear Max, the more I read and think of this post - the more I wished you could join us at the Oslo Blog Gathering in Norway."

    Tell me about it! *nodding*...

"You see, I would love to prove to you (in person) that one can easily be a feminist as a man and also an elegant gentleman. The fact that I believe in equality, does not make me An eunuch you know ;-)"

LOL LOL a eunuch? LOL that was a good one.
Well, Renny...feminism today is not like the feminism in the 60's, and it is certainly not like the suffragist movement in the early XX century. Feminists today are an attack to the integrity of women, and I cannot condone it. That is why I am "pro-femina".

"On the contrary: it makes life and the relation between man and woman even more challenging (read interesting!)."

    lol...I see what you mean...

Renny, thanks a lot for this awesome comment :D!

It's ok, I had been looking for you as well. No, you haven't missed that many posts, worry not :D.

"I really like your post here! You have highlighted significant points as to why women are trying to 'kill' the real men in this world! Are we the culprits? But you are right, we should complement men and vice versa! That's best!"

Thank you *bowing*. Feminists are losing focus, unfortunately. Men and women were created to complement each other; now...how they do that: there lies the challenge.

"Thanks for sharing this post, I wish it will gain a wide readership so that all of us will be informed of this sad reality!"

    You are welcome, dear :D.

Amity, thank you so much for your words :D.

  15. I agree. The mother greatly influences how a child is brought up, so it has to start there. :)

Enjoy the rest of the week sweetie! :)

  17. Yes, when men were men be they gentleman or rascals. Today of course, the choice has widened to include the new age guy, metrosexual and the like.

With so many choices and the changes in the way men behave, I'd have to say the man deli selection list is perhaps far too long for some women to make a pick from.

Which may make it confusing for some men to know what a real women really wants. Especially down under, where we have burly rugby league players dressing as women on footy shows. Heaven knows why! As for me, I prefer the good old fashioned ways.

    Take Care,
    Peter

  18. Hi Peter :D!

"Yes, when men were men be they gentleman or rascals."

    LOL indeed...

"Which may make it confusing for some men to know what a real women really wants."

A real woman wants a real man, period. A real woman doesn't chase the delusional feminist theories on how men should be like (or not be like) - they can be ridiculous.

"As for me, I prefer the good old fashioned ways."

    Amen for that!

Peter, thank you so much for your bloody good comment :D!

    Cheers
