Tribute to a Fellow-Blogger: Alexys Fairfield Rest In Peace

Alexy's Web Profile Picture

Earlier this week, I received an email informing me that my friend (and your fellow-blogger), Alexys Fairfield, has passed away: may she rest in piece.

I used to call her Lady A. I called her that because indeed she was a lady.

LS used to call her Lady X. He called her that because her intelligence, humour and interaction in the blogosphere was sharp and intellectually sexy - many times she caused us to roll on the floor laughing.

Alexys, LS, Mel  and I were supposed to run for the White House this year (we joked about it in 2008) but, alas, God wanted her to run along to Heaven instead.  She was amazing! She still is, from above - radiating her Light and Love upon us all.

Lady A loved life, people and everything that she considered a blessing from the Lord. Her belief in, devotion to and relationship with God reminded us that Light is always shining, despite the occasional moments of darkness. Alexys was grateful for her existence and for everything surrounding her. Her generosity was contagious. Her Message was Love.

We shared spiritual beliefs and we had a lot in common - she was like a sister to me.

Alexys, I love you and I will never forget you.
See you next time around, girl!

  1. This comes as a shock. How did she die? Max, you, me and Alexys had quite a bit of fun planning on how we should run for office and what we would do. I was just thinking about that and realized how much I missed it. I am really sad about her passing. She was quite funny and very insightful. I will miss her.

    1. Hi Mel,

Indeed it does, my friend. I am not in position to give specifics but she was ill. We had spoken a week earlier and days later I receive the news.
Yes, we did have fun back then, planning our 2012 campaign *nodding*. I missed it too, I still do.

I think all of those who knew her will miss her - she was an incredible human being.

Mel, thank you so much for having paid tribute to her :). You are an Angel.

  10. I LOVED Alexys. She helped me through some troubling times and always knew the right thing to say. In fact, I had her blogrolled as my spiritual goddess. I use to tell her she reminded me of Princess Grace of Monaco for her poise and elegance. She joked back that she looked like a punk white a bright pink mohawk. Then she was my "pink haired lady". She was everything all humans should strive to be.

I still think of her an miss her.

    Great tribute.

    2. Hi Max,

Thank you for your kind words. I used to see you at Alexys' all the time,so I know how heartbroken you must be. It's still unfathomable that she is gone, isn't it? Every once in awhile I go to her blog or FB,read it ,and then she is "back" for a little while,at least.

      How are you doing, Max?

    3. Ubermouth,

You are most welcome, darling. I used to see you too - it was a marvellous place for wonderful discussions :).
I still find it hard to believe that she is gone, and even though I have accepted it I still find myself thinking about her and our great conversations. We had loads of fun.
      You really miss her, huh?

I am doing very well, thank you for asking. I have been busy but content ;).
And how about you, how are you doing?
