Religious Freedom in Europe? Only For Some...

Christians are being targeted in all fronts. When they are not being murdered by Islamists, they are either prevented from celebrating their festivities in Muslim countries or precluded from wearing Christian symbols at work in Western nations.

What is the fundamental problem behind this blatant persecution? Appeasement. The West has been carrying out an appeasement campaign for far too long: it starts with the Media and it ends with the political sphere. However, what is more appalling is that not even the Catholic Church seems impermeable to the Pacification Approach.

Let's present a few examples of how far things have gone:

A. Christians, in England, have lost their job because they refused to hide the cross they were wearing. Notwithstanding, Muslim individuals are allowed to wear Burka in the streets of London (and of other cities) if they so wish.

B. Christmas Trees are being replaced by artistic expressions for fear of offending Muslim communities.

C. Portugal, Spain and other European countries banned the crucifix in schools because "Displaying the Christian symbol (..) violated children's right to freedom of religion" (I would like politicians to explain me how. Although I wasn't Christian, I studied in schools that displayed the crucifix; I took Morals & Religion classes [that were basically a Christianity Class] and I never felt that my rights to freedom of religion were being violated because I knew who, what, I was and the knowledge contributed to my intellectual freedom).

D. In Europe, there is now what is called "No-go zones for non-Muslims" and street ads that are regarded as offensive to Muslims are vandalised.

The above examples are remarkable because the European cultural and religious identity, if not freedom, is slowly being eroded right before our eyes. This erosion, due to political indolence (most probably caused by corruption), is giving way to right wing fascist parties who are starting to re-conquer ground in Europe and creeping into the electorate's hearts.

How much more is the West willing to sacrifice in the name of money? It may look convenient to take Arab money to patch economic and financial holes; but we must not ignore that with that convenience comes a lot of political, academic and media pressure to avoid addressing the obvious problems and, in the long run, the consequence may be undesirable: the return of the far right to power (as a result of what some call "Occupation Without Tanks or Soldiers").

I have to recognise that PM David Cameron had fortitude when he recently spoke of himself as a Christian and stood up for Christians by saying that he wanted "to ensure that Christians were supported and that he would do all he could to remove any obstacles that prevented Christian churches and groups from flourishing" and "that the government would speak out against persecution of Christians". Other European politicians, especially from the centre and right wings, should follow suit in the name of European values and traditions - and avert a far tragedy.

Side Note: To our Jewish Brothers who are suffering persecution in Europe: a mass Aliyah is the answer to the community's problems. We have a home now.

  1. Max, wanted to share this article but Google+ says the service is unavailable: is Blogger/Google being politically correct or what?
One of these days Europe will blow up and I don't wanna be around when that happens. As for our brothers, yeah show them how much they need us. Mazal tov to Cameron, he proved he got balls!

  2. The image is awesome! Appeasement is the word of the day in politics. I think there has always been some degree of appeasement in diplomacy, that is natural, but what we are seeing today is an exacerbation of the behaviour and for what? Money pure and simple. Europe has been preparing her implosion for years and it's only getting worse! As for our brothers and sisters: aliyah now. Great job, Max and may God Help the Christians cause hell is about to break loose!

  3. I propose a title for this post: Religious Freedom in Europe? Only for some...Islam!
In Europe it is fashion to convert to Islam. I am going to share a French article with you guys: http://jssnews.com/2012/01/31/accroissement-de-la-conversion-a-lislam-chez-les-europeens/ apparently 70% of European women conver to Islam for the following reasons:

    - materialism in Christian societies
    - permissiveness in Christian societies
    - over-sexualized society in Christian societies
    - alcoholism
    - lack of modesty
    etc

Since when Christianity prevents people from being modest? The problem is not Christian religion the problem is atheistic behaviors!!

These women are facilitating the infiltration of muslims in Europe so of course the definition of religion freedom will change to accomodate them and their kids. And now we even have European politicians and actors converting as well? Just read the piece, Max if you speak French!

lol Nice title, thank you *bowing*. And thanks for that link (I had already read it) - it is appalling what is occurring in Europe right now and this article is scary as hell.
I agree with you: the reasons offered are poor, very poor.

Infiltration? Well, Europe allowed that on its own before its women started converting like mad people.

Marine, thank you for your comment and link. Know that you are extremely welcome here and I hope to see more of you :D.

      Cheers

  4. Let me not start off on the implication of this nonsense in my patch of green. You know my feelings about it and also my strong belief that sooner than later, ie in the context of history rather than man's sense of time, the problem will resolve itself by self annihilation.

  5. Pope Francis has been appeasing the Muslims since he was elected, so nothing new there. Politicians have traded the truth for Arab money, so nothing new there either. But for Christians to be persecuted in our own territory and to see people convert to a religion that is anything but peace is new to me and quite frankly shocking. The article Marine shared is frightening if that is indeed the real state of affairs in Europe. May God help us all!

    1. Hi Anonymous :D!

We should be worried. And even Tony Blair warned Western politicians that they should focus on this trend more (radical Islam infiltrations, conversions etc). This is the real thing, it's not a test...

Anon, thank you so much for your comment :D.

  6. Right on, Max! And they are trying to do the same in Israel: to create no-go zones for Jews! I mean, when did we let them get this far? This is why I hate the left with all my guts!
As I said in Google+ I am getting ready to make aliyah any time soon. I am not going to take this crap from European heathens and Muslims. The hell with them all!

So true. Did you watch that video in which Arab women are terrorising small children just because they wanted to pray at the Temple Mount? It is appalling.
I read your post on G+: let me know when you leave, girl.

Cêcê, thank you so much for your comment :D.

  7. One of my last stops in Europe a decade ago was an international Baptist church with an evening service in Nice and a morning service in a medieval place called Saint-Paul-de-Vence. I didn't sense any more danger there than in the US. It was a little different situation than that of an Egyptian Coptic young man falling in love with a Muslim girl in Cairo.

But is David Cameron a Christian? He has a philosophy degree and supports "gay marriage", which I am sure he knows has no existence in any known religion, non-religion, philosophical or secular ideology other than the "let's-give-God-the-finger" religion that is popular among Western academics. I tend to view a little bit of soft persecution as healthy, since it filters out the non-committed and those who pursue religion for social status. What bothers me more is an intentional mis-teaching of religion, primarily involving Christianity, but then again, I wouldn't want anyone's belief system to be mis-taught for ideological reasons.

    1. Hi Looney :D!

No, it hasn't come to that...yet. But if we don't do something now, you bet in another decade things may get as bad as in Cairo. Come, visit Europe this year and try going to certain places: you won't be allowed because they are no-go zones for non-Muslims. Unfortunately, this is the reported reality in Europe today.

Yes, David Cameron is a Christian. Ah, yes he did and that is why I labelled him a pseudo-conservative: the UK already had civil unions for gays (which granted them full social/civil rights), so his silly move was a political one - the question is, to appease whom?
But anyway, at least he is acknowledging that there is a problem and Christian leaders need to come out and say that the countries they lead are fundamentally Christian (which was what he wrote in the Church Times). All rest...details.

"pursue religion for social status" - true, we have those.

Persecution is never healthy and that is why I would never propose persecuting Muslims. Once you start on that path, there is no turning back.
What would you define as a committed religious person?

Looney, thank you so much for your comment :D.

      Cheers

    2. Yes, I have been hearing about the no-go zones. Of course you still have the problem that the politically dominant Christianity, that is the modernist version, insists on both open borders and unlimited government provided welfare. If there are disgruntled residents in the ghettos, it is only because they are oppressed and there isn't enough welfare. The new Christianity is universalist, so it denies any distinction between religions and cultures. Thus, these sorts will readily affirm that their nation is a Christian nation. And therefore, the policies that created the no-go zones must be continued since it is a moral imperative required by God.

    3. Looney, I agree with you on the "modernist version" of Christianity: God forbid the thought that if there are disgruntled residents in "ghettos" is because most of them refuse to be integrated in society and respect the local law.
Well, in all fairness, it wasn't the Tory Party that started this "Universalist" Christianity wave, it was the Labour Party. And then since the people were used to the system, the Tories just continued the "legacy"...nevertheless, I understand well where your criticism is coming from.

  8. It's true there are no-go zones but who let things come to that? Socialist Christians did, socialist Jews did, socialist s*** did and who put the socialists in power long enough to do whatever? Christians did, Jews did, s*** did; so let's not complain now that the sh** hit the fan! We were all living under the Babel Tower dream and now we are crying? There was a reason why that tower was destroyed the first time! We are just reliving history, folks. But yeah, Camy had balls...
