It can't be easy to celebrate the birth of Christ (a master who taught about Love, Compassion e Forgiveness) in a year marked by the persecution, enslavement and death of his followers. 

Christmas is a time of reflection: what sort of world are we living in and is Christianity still relevant? 

My answer to the above question is a resounded: Yes.

Immanuel is the son of God – denying this fact is insulting the Creator and His Plan for the world. 

Jesus is the first part of God's Plan: he was the last sacrificial lamb. After him, we were not supposed to continue animal sacrifice at the Temple; we were to perfect Judaism and we can't deny that after Jesus' era we improved ourselves (e.g. Shabbat can be suspended for Pikuach Nefesh purposes). Jesus was born and died as a Jew.

Christ brought light to the world as his teachings turned people to God, the God of Israel. At the Mount of the Olives he saw his fate, he accepted it and he learned the meaning of his death. He indeed died for humanity – Christ is the biggest symbol of personal sacrifice for a greater good. 

In his name, and in the name of the Father, many atrocities have been done; however, in his name, and in the name of the Father, people fought against the religious tyrants and slowly built a more just society (albeit imperfect). Christ was a great defender of the rights of Men; so it's always interesting to see the cause of Human Rights being assaulted by the nihilists and evil people (NB: as I don't believe in atheism, I now call those who reject the Creator nihilists – it's more honest). 

What kind of world are we living in? 

We are living in utter chaos. Some say that we are in the end of times, as prophesied in the Holy Book, and thus the Second Coming is near. I will not delve in eschatology, however as a rational human being who does not believe in coincidences, I look at the events, at all the lunacy in this globe, and I wonder...

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1)

We are in the 21st century and humans are still being captured and sold off as property, in parts of the Middle East. Instead of actually doing something concrete to protect those people, whose sole sin is to profess Christianity and a branch of mysticism, the West appeases the representatives of the persecutors and pro-slavery entities because it is too afraid of being called a nasty name – lunacy. 

"Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." (Luke 18: 16)

Children are murdered, in school, just because they are acquiring knowledge and expanding their horizons beyond a religious manifesto; and why? Because their government created a monster to advance its failed foreign policy strategies – lunacy. 

"Then they came to Jerusalem. And [Jesus] entered the temple and began to drive out those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves; and He would not permit anyone to carry merchandise through the temple. And He began to teach and say to them, 'Is it not written, «My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations»? But you have made it a robbers’ den." (Mark 11:15-17)

The Promised Land is under assault and being used, by western nihilistic, jealous, greedy and bigoted people, as currency against an apparent Islamic Grace. Almost the whole world has joined hands to sell the Holy City to the very same people who pray for the death of the People of God, Jesus' brethren – lunacy. 

"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves." (Matthew 7:15)

Europe, once a continent of enlightenment, is now shrouded in darkness – again. Europe, the Eden of leftists and nihilists, is being managed by an institution whose policies were not included in any electoral programme, and therefore not endorsed by the European People. Europe is slowly decaying and its politicians are playing right into the hands of its foes – lunacy.

If the ones who claim that the period of the End of Days has already started are right, then may God Give us strength to face the incoming battle and Help us accept that this too is part of His Plan. 

Nevertheless, despite all the negativity and chaos, we must be able to see the Light at the end of the tunnel. And in this spirit, I wish my Christian Brothers:
