Exopolitics - Part II: Technology Leading to World Peace? Not quite.

Part I

Exopolitics is a very delicate issue and, if we are to take it seriously, it needs to draw a line between itself and the Ancient Astronauts Theory, without discarding it entirely. Then, it needs to prove beyond reasonable doubt that extraterrestrial life exists (without stepping into the threshold of conspiracy theories), that they are willing to communicate with us in a language the world can actually understand (i.e. beyond the binary language) and work with us. 

There are testimonies of former military officers and government officials confirming the existence of extraterrestrial life and technology. According to them some governments have downed ETVs (extraterrestrial vehicles), in the 1940's/1950's, and studied them resulting thus in the great technological breakthrough we have benefited from (e.g. energy generation and propulsion). Therefore, in their opinion, if they could get their hands on a more recent alien technology, they'd have the answer to many of our world problems. (NB: assuming this is all true, it would be interesting to know if NASA and other government programmes have been trying to negotiate with aliens a trade. But what do we have to offer them in exchange for their technology?)

Impact of Extraterrestrial Interaction

Extraterrestrial visitations to earth can have a huge impact on politics, international relations, the environment, the economy and social policies. Exopolitics assumes that having access to their technology will bring peace to the world – will it really?

Politics & International Relations

A nation in possession of a technological edge is a very powerful nation. Technology shortens the time needed to produce things, thus it decreases prices and increases efficiency, precision. 

Such a nation would be able to create jobs, raise more revenue (without necessarily increasing taxes), invest even more in education and agriculture, and because the costs of energy could be significantly reduced (by having each home producing its own) people would have more disposable income and misery would end (not necessarily poverty though) – the possibilities could be endless. 

A country with such an edge would force a shift in the balance of power, in the way countries interact; in sum, it would change the world order. (NB: Human nature dictates that, initially, this state would be attacked on all fronts out of fear. But its willingness to share some of its technological wealth should slowly turn the tables) 

Environment

It's said that due to the studied downed alien vessels, we are already in the possession of "classified energy generation and anti-gravity propulsion systems capable of completely and permanently replacing all forms of currently used energy generation and transportation systems. These devices access the ambient electromagnetic and so-called zero point energy state to produce vast amounts of energy without any pollution." (source); and so, according to exopoliticians, the benefits could be: 

• The elimination of oil, coal and gas as sources of energy generation
• The end of resource depletion and geo-political tensions arising from competition for fossil fuel resources
• The end of pollution, since air travel and road transportation systems would be replaced with new energy and propulsion technologies (anti-gravity systems allow for silent above surface movement) 
• Public utilities would not be needed since each home, office and factory would have a device to generate whatever needed energy
• Nuclear power plants would be decommissioned and we'd have the technologies needed to clean such sites
• Agriculture, currently very energy dependent and polluting, could be transformed to use clean, non-polluting sources of energy

Economy & Social Policies

The possibility of having access to superior technology that could have a positive economic impact, obliterate misery, increase people's purchase power and improve people's quality of life (without having to resort to benefits), would be catastrophic to the Left Wing: without misery, economic and social instability, without environmental issues, what would their political flag be and on what would they thrive on? If the Left Wing isn't interested in anything that can advance human development now as it is (lest their ideology is discredited), they wouldn't have any interest in seeing aliens helping mankind either. 

The idea of having extraterrestrials helping humans sounds all very positive and good. However, one cannot work under the assumption that welcoming aliens into earth will be rosy, cause it won't – there's always a price to pay (action - reaction). Thus, we end our piece with a few capital questions to the exopolitical community... 

Questions

• What do we do if the aliens choose specific countries to give their technological edge to (instead of sharing it with everybody)? Won't this cause a technological race and create another level of tensions and conflicts in the world (i.e. war)? 
• Assuming there are several Alien “political parties”, if the “good ones” choose specific countries to assist, in detriment of others (accustomed to be perceived as world powers) won't the latter associate themselves with “bad parties” just to have access to their technology (in a repetition of what happened when those countries needed fossil fuels)? How will this promote world peace?
• What if Aliens do not come with good intentions? Given reports that they have disabled certain nuclear defences at times, how would we defend ourselves from these visitors (in the absence of similar technology)? 
• Assuming they are indeed a “superior race”, as many in exopolitics like to say, why (in the eventuality of an increasing number of such creatures on earth) would they accept to be ruled by an “inferior race”? 
• What is a superior race and isn't this a revival of a dangerous racial ideology? The exopolitical class makes us suspicious when it employs such terms. 
• Why would human businessmen be excited about welcoming a Species that brings technology that will mark the end of their multi-trillion dollar empires? Wouldn't they lobby to have governments warring Aliens (in vain) to stall Human development in the name of status quo and money? How would we all tackle these businessmen with no vision?
• Isn't it naive to state, with all certainty, that aliens will come to take us to the next level of development? Have exopoliticians lost complete hope in mankind and Faith that they have the need to wish for external sources to come and help us (while rejecting G-d and His Messengers)? Paradox.
