To Conceal Secrets, Iran and Russia Accuse the US and Israel

Iran accuses the US and Gulf allies of being behind the shooting attack on the Military Parade, in Tehran, last Saturday. Russia is still trying to blame Israel for the downing of one of its Spy aircrafts in Syria. Too much noise: so, what is really going on here?

The Iranian Pending Fall

Side note: it seems like the trend of attacking Military Parades is being set (first Venezuela and now Iran, who will be next?).

It is always easier to blame others for one’s shortcomings and mistakes rather than taking full responsibility for one’s actions, and change. Such is the case with the present Iranian regime: instead of admitting there is a domestic problem that needs to be solved, Tehran opts by applying the obsolete formula of blaming external forces – this not only reveals cowardice but above all panic (Iran knows the ship is sinking). This public admission of fear represents a huge opportunity to attack the very foundations of the Revolutionary Regime.

The Iranian Revolutionary Regime has many internal enemies that seek its fall:

  • The Iranian Kurdish Secession Groups
  • The Baluchi Separatist Group
  • The Patriotic Arab Democratic Movement (another separatist group)
  • The Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz (another secessionist group)
  • And others…

With so many seeking to internally overthrow the Ayatollahs, why be lazy and involve external forces that need to do very little but to wait and see which group will bring the Supreme Leader down? The Iranian Government is brutally authoritarian, it oppresses women and the youth, it is negligent of the people’s interests (i.e. instead of investing in the country’s poor economy, it uses the money to sponsor Terror worldwide), it is corrosively corrupt and an absolute threat to humankind – and if Russia thinks it is immune to the Iranian threat, Moscow should think again.

It is not a secret that the US, Israel and the Arab Gulf States (with the exception of Qatar and perhaps Dubai) want to see the current Iranian leadership out; and it may be true that these countries may have supported the Groups that attacked the Military Parade, in Ahwaz, last weekend (with either funds, training or even weapons) but can anyone blame them? After all, Tehran funds, trains and arms several terrorist groups in the Middle East, in Africa, in Latin America and in Europe – for instance – thus what made Iran think that there wouldn’t be retaliation? The Day of Reckoning for Iran (and all its accomplices) has begun, it seems.

The Russian J’Accuse Unveils a Secret

A Russian Spy Plane has been downed in Syria.

First Angle

The Military Surveillance Plane was shot down by the Syrian Military Forces – probably because the Syrians believed to have been downing an Israeli aircraft – but instead of admitting in public that a mistake has been done; Moscow decided to accuse the Jewish State of having killed 25 of its operatives and threaten an alteration in diplomatic relations between the two countries.

But these accusations distract the world from some relevant questions:

  • What is exactly in Latakia, besides the Russian Base?
  • What is Al-Assad hiding there that they wanted to prevent the Israelis from seeing and targeting?
  • Are we talking about a stash of chemical weapons – and whose chemical weapons are those?

If Russia is playing along and making baseless accusations (to the point of running an Anti-Semitic campaign in its home front) then we definitely need to ask the toughest questions:

  • Has the 2015 deal struck between Vladimir Putin and the Obama Administration been violated (remember when Secretary John Kerry said “We struck a deal where we got 100 percent of the chemical weapons out.”)?
  • Are we talking about the famous Saddam Chemical Weapons (the WMDs that triggered the Iraq War in 2003)?
  • Is Russia hiding a more sophisticated arsenal in Syria?
  • If Russia is concealing weapons intended for Bashar Al-Assad, why would the Russians and the Syrian President hide it from Israel (given the Russian-Israel relations)?
  • Are those weapons intended for the Jewish State’s enemies? That would be a problem.

Second Angle

It could also be the case that the Russian Spy Plane was conducting dangerous operations like collecting information that would later on serve as quid pro quo with, for example, Iran (who many in Moscow view as a strategic ally against the US and the Jewish State) – after all, this is what countries do – but if that was the case, would it be responsible of Israel or even of the US (who has four warships deployed near Syria - USS Ramage, USS Mahan, USS Gravely and USS Barry) to ignore that threat? But since the Kremlin cannot, and will not, admit to any of its activities or even failures it prefers to play a very ancient card: a smearing campaign as a warning to Israel – whom many in Russia view as an American Proxy.

In Politics, just like in ordinary life, nothing is what seems to be. But when there is too much noise, it usually means a diversion tactic to prevent others from asking tough questions. Israel has shown it couldn’t have done carried out the attack, but at the same time it didn’t deny it had Latakia in mind. The US was somewhat silent about it. Something is definitely afoot, Watson – was Russia spying on US assets?

  2. Good questions. Somebody should definitely look at it.

  3. Iran can expect more of such attacks as the Iranian people is growing more and more impatient with their leadership. As for Russia: anything is possible. All Israel has to do is to follow closely that part of the region. Thanks for asking the tough questions.

  4. I don't understand Russia: why isn't she able to side with the good guys?
Iran is pooping her pants ("Iran hides it, Israel finds it") that's why she's accusing Israel to disperse attentions. But I'm afraid all attentions are on Iran now!

  5. Well, didn't Russia say "We already delivered the S-300 to Syria?" when everybody expected them to deliver it in two weeks? There's your answer: they are using Latakia as a warehouse and store for their weaponry! Iran is going down ב"ה!

  6. The Russians chose to be our enemy so as far as I'm concerned they should fall too.
