President Marcelo at UNGA 2018: Selling Portugal to Globalists

In Collaboration with Lenny Hannah

The 5th of October: DS wishes all Portuguese Citizens a Happy Republic Day!

Lenny’s Perspective

This is the UNGA’s week at DS (and Etnias – our Portuguese blog), but to tell you the truth after that ridiculous speech delivered by Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the Portuguese Republic’s President – about multilateralism, multiculturalism (peace and love), global absolutism etc – I just wanted to skip the task…however, since Max requested my contribution (and her request is an order) here are my thoughts about the whole thing:

In the 1st paragraph, the president praises the General-Secretary António Guterres’ lucidity and dynamics.

It’s a question of perception, I guess…

2nd paragraph: “Multilateralism…conflict prevention…concern about migration and the refugees…gender equality”

Prevention...What prevention when conflicts are spreading like mushrooms all over the globe? Or are we talking about something like:

Conflict Prevention “Tony, there will be some quarrels in Africa, Asia, Middle East; so, prepare the guys for rape missions, sessions of paedophilia, arms trafficking and all sorts of vile behaviour. The proceeds are to be deposited in my servants’ accounts.”

Concern with Migrations “Hans, there is an incoming shipment of boat-people. Tell the GiveItToMe NGO to collect them; and don’t forget my commission…”

Gender Equality “Manolo, por caridad, dá empleo a Carmensita, como presidente de qualquiera organización internacional, para compensarla de mis puñetazos quasi diários. Gracias, compañero!”. (Transl: Manolo, please, find Carmensita a job, as president of any international organisation, to compensate her for the almost daily beatings I gave her. Thanks, comrade!)

5th paragraph: “Unilateral tropism, divestment from international organisations…political myopia”

“Pureza, sweetie, when Teotónio writes my biography, make sure he remembers that I took some political jabs at that ignorant Trump at the 73rd session of UNGA”

8th paragraph: “…Security Council…African Continent, India and Brazil”

Professor Marcelo, why not Portugal while we’re at it?

9th paragraph: “Prevent conflicts, keep and sustain peace…the Portuguese presence in MINUSCA and MINUSMA”

Mr President, big deal. Listen, folks in CAR asked me to tell you “Merci pour rien!” and, as far as I’m concerned, when I read MINUSCA I see “MINORCA” (transl: shorty) and when I read MINUSMA it sounds like “MINÚSCULO NA MESMA” (transl: miniscule at the same).

11th paragraph: “By the hand of the former president Jorge Sampaio…Global platform to support the Syrian students”

Dear Mr Marcelo, you repeated globalism and multilateralism so many times, but I haven’t seen any global platform to support the Christian students of CAR. Give me a break!

20th paragraph “…in the short run uni, minilateral, protectionism…domestic electoral discourse…minimizing multilateralism…global pacts…only paying attention at the prevention of conflicts and in peace keeping where and when it suits him, and in terms of economic power more than political power”

What does this even mean? Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the economic side more important than anything else, since everything derives from it: jobs and money in people’s pockets? Professor Marcelo: were you drunk or something?

21st paragraph: “We prefer the other vision...open, favourable to seeking global governance…human rights as values and principles, not as means or convenience”

This vision is corrupt. Portugal opened herself up to money stolen by the Angolans to the point of surrendering to Angola and send Crow Manuel Vicente (who could’ve transformed himself into a beautiful Canary) back to where he came from. Global governance? G-d forbid that my great-grandchildren are governed by agnostic, amoral, immoral, atheist leftists who sell themselves and whose values and principles are cemented on naïve ideals dictated by so-called Christians and Radical-fascist Islamists.

22nd paragraph: “European Union…peace, well-being and social protection”

You have got to be kidding! This vision is a hoax, because - as a member of the EU – Portugal couldn’t experience greater inequality: the Portuguese minimum wage will soon be €600 instead of the amount (€1.000) advocated by us (DS/Etnias); the smallest Portuguese pensions are miserable (they do not match the minimum wage) – between €169 and €269 (and if we consider the issues plaguing Seniors, it gets even worse) – do you, Mr President, really think that these are worthy pensions for someone who worked hard for years on end?

34th paragraph: “…stability and sustainable peace in the Middle East will only be possible with the resolution of the conflict between Israel and Palestine, i.e. the Arabs”

In this paragraph, I identify a cognitive dysfunction in the category of Familiarity Heuristics – which is based on the assumption of facts. Let me explain: it’s the syndrome of the imperialist who is convinced he can divide the Nation of Israel at will, as he used to in the past (Pink Maps, Tordesilhas Treaty, Sykes-Picot, the division of Kurdistan, destruction of nations and borders etc etc) only this time it won’t happen because Israel will not be divided and the 'Palestinians' must go back to the land of their ancestors – which fortunately is just around the corner (Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia).

It is true that Israel didn’t forget that Jews were foreigners in the Land of Egypt, so she will accept carefully selected foreigners - who do not pretend to have claims to the Land of Israel. Israel is the birth place of the Jews and the Jewish State will not be dictated by anyone, period.

36th paragraph: “…Patriotism is what you complete with cosmopolitanism”

Is Secretary António Guterres referring to the Cosmopolitan Magazine?

38th paragraph: “…ignis fatuus doesn’t last, it won’t last, it won’t solve the world’s problems”

Professor Marcelo, I can assure you that no one else will remember your book shopping tour, or your speech and not even you: so, who is the falling star here? I promise you, President Trump will be remembered.

39th paragraph: “As Nelson Mandela said (..)‘a fundamental concern for others in our individual and community lives (..) in making the world the better place we so passionately dreamt of’.’”

Nelson Mandela…a man who used to beat his first wife up. It’s interesting how abusers always think of strangers while mistreating those closer to them...

Max’s Perspective

The Portuguese President’s speech, unfortunately, neither reflected the image of a former Power nor did it transmit a vision of a Conquering Country. To be honest, President Marcelo exhibited a posture of submission to external forces; a posture of a being totally dominated by the globalist agenda. This UNGA session also showed us that President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will never match President Aníbal Cavaco Silva.

The Portuguese Republic President’s words seemed to have been aimed at President Trump, as if to attack him, exposing thus the Portuguese commander in chief’s petty character: Mr Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, your short meeting with the American president was nothing personal, it was strictly business (after all, a lot of things that happen in Portugal affect the American national security and someone has to be held accountable for it, wouldn’t you agree?).

The constitutional functions of the Portuguese Republic President are basically those of representing the Portuguese Republic, of guaranteeing national independence (..)…

Guaranteeing national independence? So how could have been possible for the President to incessantly repeat the words “multilateralism” and “globalism” during his speech? It is such a loud contradiction. I am happy I didn’t vote for him because it is becoming clear that Rebelo de Sousa is not a right-winger, but a closeted socialist (a disciple of Mário Soares).

Mr. President, Portugal is not for sale and if we, the foreignish, have to intervene and save the Nation of King Sebastian from the claws of people like you, and other globalists, then that’s exactly what we will do. And believe it, we are used to fighting and winning; therefore, if we have to play dirty, dirty we will play: the Country and the Portuguese Sovereignty demand it.

Portugal is yet to be accomplished, but it won't be President Marcelo doing it…it really won't.

  1. I know nothing of Portugal or this president so I can't comment much. But it was an entertaining read nevertheless, thanks.
