Essay: New Political Paradigms

Politics is changing. This change is causing much distress in the old establishments but its occurrence cannot be ignored, so it was decided the time had come to pen down an essay outlining the new political paradigms that are already shaping the Future of Politics: the Neo-Right Wing Movement, Prosecution and Incarceration of Corrupt Leaders and how the Media is slowly being made Redundant.

Paradigm A: The Birth of the Neo-Right Wing

Forget the Neo-Cons, the Alt-Right, the Conservatives, the Right Wingers and the Far-Right because:

  • The Neo-Conservative Movement isn’t well defined yet and it seems to be all over the place
  • The Alt-Right so far seems a hysterical and reactionary movement that serves as a counterpart to the hysterical and reactionary Left
  • The Conservatives are more like Caviar Socialists
  • The Right Wing now calls itself Centre-Right (which is the same as a Political Humpty-Dumpty too afraid to do the right thing lest it upsets the other kids in Parliament)
  • The Far-Right is as dumb, as insidious, as the Far-Left.

None of the above political movements are updated enough to keep up with modern demands of the People, of the Silent Voters, of those who are sick and tired of the same old game:

  • Political promises made on the campaign trail only to be forgotten once in power
  • Corrupt politicians who leave office to be rewarded with positions of power in International Bodies
  • Gross Negligence and Abuse of Power perpetrated in absolute impunity
  • Political Correctness that veils Censorship
  • Foreign Policies that put the Interests of the People in second place
  • The Interests of a Minority out-weighing the Interests of the Majority.

The Neo-Right Wing Movement is interesting due to the following characteristics:

  • The emergence of a new class of leaders, who are not professional politicians – thus have no history of corruption
  • They are adverse to Political Correctness
  • They say what they mean and mean what they say
  • They feel a profound love for their Country and for their Countrymen
  • They listen to the People and understand their needs
  • Their Country comes first.

Because these new politicians are straightforward, honest, and actually care about Law and Order, their opponents reveal their intellectual impotence and obsoletism by calling them all sorts of names (crazy, racist, homophobic, Nazi, misogynistic, fascist; a danger to freedom, to world peace, to democracy etc) and by staging peaceful protests that end up in violence.

Paradigm B: Prosecution & Incarceration of Corrupt Leaders

If as a President or a Prime Minister one throws a whole country down the economic abyss, affecting negatively the lives of the people they are to serve, then those individuals are to be prosecuted for Gross Negligence. If evidence shows that those politicians benefited from their position to illicitly enrich themselves or their mates then they are to be prosecuted for Active Corruption and Abuse of Power. Afterwards, they are to serve time in prison for their crime(s).

It is unacceptable to see political leaders failing their people at home not only to walk in complete impunity but also to be rewarded with Top Positions in World Bodies. For example:

  • António Guterres was Portugal’s Prime Minister (1st term 1995-1999, and 2nd term 1999-2002): he failed the country and the People. When he left power, before the end of the second term, the State coffers had been left dry by his government. Instead of being punished for his failed policies, he was rewarded with a position at the UN (the High Commissioner for Refugees) and many years later he ended up being chosen as the UN Sec-Gen.
  • Jorge Sampaio was Portugal’s 18th President (from 1996 to 2006): he dissolved a government with an absolute majority to open the way for José Sócrates (the former PM who has been incarcerated and indicted for corruption, tax evasion, abuse of power, among other charges; who also jumped ship before his second term was over because the State didn’t have one dime to pay salaries, pensions and benefits). Mr Sampaio caused this ill to Portugal and yet he was rewarded with positions at the UN (first, as a special envoy for the Global Plan to Stop Tuberculosis and, then, as a High Representative for the Alliance of Civilisations).

It is utterly unacceptable and shameful to grossly neglect the lives of millions of citizens and then be compensated for it, and not punished. Who is behind these rewards and why?

Paradigm C: The Media’s Slow Redundancy

Jair Bolsonaro introduced a new paradigm: he rarely gave interviews to news networks and he ran a campaign from the Social Media. He also addressed the public from live feeds on his Facebook Page to explain his political programme, his positions on issues and to basically clarify the public on some of his more controversial statements.

The Media is slowly becoming redundant when it comes to Politics – and this is a marvellous thing for Direct Democracy.

Traditionally, politicians would present their platform through news outlets; but that was when people still trusted the mainstream media – before they turned into Tabloid Networks, Brainwash Machines and Socialist Propaganda Channels. Nowadays, the People have an alternative: they can access the Social Media (Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Whatsapp, Snapchat and others) for more information, for more details, for unedited videos and unabridged reports - and sometimes for disinformation too, but truth be told even the Mainstream Media has also come to the point of carrying out campaigns of disinformation.

Not long ago, politicians would see their words distorted in edited interviews on TV; but now, they can go with their crew who also film the same interview and post it online on their respective Social Media Pages – which is a capital thing for context and to ascertain the right position on matters.

Advice: either the mainstream media goes back to the basics, or it will suffer a slow and painful decay towards its demise. It is not difficult to get journalists, tired of being bullied by big news corporations, who still want to do good old fashioned reporting – not brainwashing.

  1. You're right, the Conservative/Right Wing movements have been infiltrated by leftists. So they can't really be called as such, but I think this happened cause they wanted to please everybody and PC has a lot to do with it too. Good post!

  2. In my opinion there is no more left or right, only good and evil! These two forces are fighting hard now and people need to choose carefully their side. For example, choose Hillary Clinton and her friends and you choose evil!

  3. To me only Fox News is a decent news outlet. All the rest is shit. I hope the new generation of politicians put the Fake Media in their place, which is the garbage.

  4. The Media is the enemy of the people cause instead of reporting it brainwashes the masses in favor of the international socialists and we can't let them!

  5. We need a new paradigm so this is all welcome. The media deserves our absolute despise: did you guys watch that Acosta guy, from CNN, how he disrespected the President? It's unacceptable!
