Israel: It's Not the Time For Snap Elections

"I will now be taking the position of Defence Minister for the first time ever." – PM Netanyahu

Politics is a very difficult game when humans forget the whole purpose of serving a nation. Since when has it become all right to pull tantrums when serving the people? When one joins a government, shouldn’t one put National Interest above personal/group interests? To answer this question properly, we would have to address the practical definition of National Interest but we will do that in a future post. This week, we will focus on whether it is healthy for Israel to have snap elections or not.

Summary: Last week, Hamas launched over 400 rockets at Israel in 24 hours. Israel responded but didn’t go all the way as the Israeli People would’ve liked, thus, generating a political crisis – that ended up in the resignation of the Defence Minister Avigdor Liberman and the ensuing threats of early elections. The Left is already rubbing their hands, and salivating, at the opportunity to defeat Benjamin Netanyahu – one of the best Prime Ministers Israel has ever had (even though his methods are causing impatience in people).

A Message to the Jewish Right Wing

The Israeli Right Wing must unite

This is not the time for squabbling: if you are a Nationalist, if you nurture a deep love for Am Yisrael, if you yearn for Erezt Yisrael, if you are a Believer, if you are Loyal to Hashem, if you are a Fighter and you refuse to quit till G-d’s Plan is fully implemented; then you need to stand behind the Israeli Right Wing Government.

It doesn’t matter which label the Left, and the fake right wingers, put on you (i.e. radical, fascist, extremist, fanatic, lunatic, religious nutcase, populist etc): if you fit the above description then you really need to support PM Netanyahu because the present conjuncture begs for tough decisions and if Eretz Yisrael is to come into realisation in a smooth way then we need to sacrifice – and I say this because Erezt Yisrael will come to fruition no matter what, but the intensity of the events is to be determined here and now.

So, I ask: at a time when the Left, the Erev Rav, is ironically praying for our Fall; should we give them that sweet taste? Brothers and Sisters, unite.

The Jewish Right Wing must unite

The Jewish Right Wingers in the Diaspora need to stand behind PM Netanyahu. We must do whatever we can to undermine the Left’s plans. We are to always remember that the Israeli, and Jewish, Left have caused enough harm to our People throughout the years – if we are in this mess it’s because they always decided to make decisions against the Torah, but mainly against G-d (e.g. the Oslo Accords).

The Left has forgotten Who made us Jews, it has forgotten why we are Jews, and the purpose of our existence.

If any of you, out there, claims to be a right winger but rejects G-d, I advise you to do Teshuvah now because G-d’s Judgement has started and no one will be spared. Remember, Redemption is already here. The Divine selection will begin.

A Message to Jewish Home

Ayalet Shaked said something that caught my attention: she accused the present Israeli Government of no longer being a Right Wing one (because probably in her mind, PM Netanyahu capitulated to Hamas, thus bringing shame to the Jewish People), but she is wrong for even a Right Wing Government must play smart and act in the proper timing.

We are all eager to defeat Hamas and Hezbollah; but we have to do it properly and in a definite way. Does the Jewish Home (HaBayit HaYehudi) have a plan for the aftermath of flatting down Gaza and the South of Lebanon or, G-d forbid, will it play PC (like it does when it comes to the Reform Jews) to look good near the independent voters? Yes, because the Jewish Home is a small party with huge potential, indeed, but truth be told it is also a party that sometimes dwindles in crucial issues as well.

Minister Shaked does well to support PM Netanyahu, though she (and Minister Bennett) should tone down the negative rhetoric against the Premier, for I am certain it is not her party’s interest to see this government fall either. Ayalet Shaked, unite; don’t divide.

Not the Time for Snap Elections

We are in a pre-war period. It is not a question of if, but of when an all-out conflict will break out; therefore, the Israeli Government must focus on preparing the Home Front for what is coming, and it must have a solid plan of attack and be sure of the objectives of the impending war for it will be a final one. This is not the time to be distracted by petty and special political interests. We are a year away from the end of this government's term and it’s advisable to wait for it.

"I have a clear plan. I know what to do, and when to do it. And I'll do it. – PM Netanyahu

I believe you, PM Netanyahu. And thank you. However, I would like to remind you that anything you do must obey His Plan, not human plans or considerations. If you are clear about that, we got your back.

“Happy is the nation whose G-d is the LORD; the people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.” - Psalms 33:12

  1. Union in politics is very difficult cause politicians only see their immediate gains, but hopefully even this will change eventually! I wish Bibi all the best and I stand with Israel!

  3. Hope good sense and sense of priority prevails in Israel! You shouldn't be calling for elections in the middle of a military campaign. It just doesn't make sense!
