UK, EU, UN, US & 998 acres of Land: The Circus of the Absurd

Meat Clown - James Guentner
What kind of politicians have we been electing?
What kind of unelected people administrate our nations?
What kind of circus has the political arena been turned into?

In the past, politicians were knowledgeable and cultivated individuals who were deemed suitable to run public affairs. Today, politicians are individuals with college degrees that know nothing and cultivate little. These characteristics are deemed suitable to be a marionette - manipulated by whom?
That's what we would like to know.

On the 31st of August, Israel announced that it would declare 998 acres of Samaria & Judea territory as State Land.
Without any delay, the condemnations showered:

  • UK: Foreign Secretary Philip Hamond said “The UK deplores the Israeli government’s expropriation of 988 acres of land around the settlement of Etzion near Bethlehem (..) It will do serious damage to Israel’s standing in the international community." and PM David Cameron stated "The appropriation of nearly 1,000 acres of land in the West Bank near Bethlehem is utterly deplorable (..) Settlements are illegal under international law"
  • EU: "Settlements are illegal under international law, constitute an obstacle to peace and threaten to render the two-state solution impossible. The EU reiterates that it will not recognize any changes to the pre-1967 borders, including with regard to Jerusalem,  other than those agreed by the parties,"
  • UN: General Secretary Ban-Ki Moon said "The construction of these settlements on Palestinian land is illegal under international law and is totally against the trying to look for the solution that is provided by the two states"
  • US State Department: "This announcement, like every other settlement announcement Israel makes, planning step they approve and construction tender they issue, is counter-productive to Israel's stated goal of a negotiated two-state solution with the Palestinians"

etc etc.

Needless to repeat that their thoughts on what the international law says are completely wrong (it has already been proved here and here): under international law the "West Bank" is a disputed territory and Israel is not an occupying power. But why should politicians, with vested interests, ever be concerned with facts?

What is truly surprising is the ignorance revealed by people that are supposed to know better:

"(..) it should be remembered that the Oslo II Interim Agreement, signed by Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat at the White House in 1995 (and witnessed by the EU), established a division of the West Bank into three areas: Area A, where the Palestinians had full control, Area B where there was mixed Israeli and Palestinian security control but full Palestinian civil control, and Area C, where Israel had full military and civilian control. Israeli responsibilities in Area C included the power of zoning and planning. The territory which Israel declared as state land is within Area C." (Source: Here)

In short, the US, the EU, the UK and the UN made an utter fool of themselves by reacting without thinking and by conveniently opting by forgetting the conditions of an agreement that they keep evoking when making the most absurd demands from the State of Israel. What do they want? What's their true agenda? Why this selective amnesia? When something doesn't make sense...

I would slightly alterate the EU's, the UK's and the US' (three main targets of Islamic terrorism) statements:

"Israel's decision to claim [West Bank] land seems alarming, but before we jump into conclusions we will study the facts on the ground - therefore, for the moment we make no comments on that issue. Our primary focus now is to encourage both parties to get back to the negotiations towards a two-state solution, so that the two peoples can live in peace."

The above suggested statement doesn't embarrass the mentioned countries, it doesn't bully Israel, it doesn't empower groups like Hamas and IS, doesn't harden Fatah's position and continues to repeat the old futile hopeful mantra.

Something is profoundly wrong in the West today. I am not able yet to point my finger to either the staff that comfortably serve in national administrations, or to special interest groups that have politicians in their carnet. But one thing is certain, the circus of the absurd is in town.

"Moreover, looking to the future, the territory in question, at present, is part of a settlement bloc, south of Jerusalem, known as Gush Etzion, which was settled by Jews prior to 1948, but lost by Israel when it came under attack by Arab forces. During past negotiating rounds it became clear to Israelis and Palestinians alike that at the end of the day when a territorial compromise is reached, Israel will retain the settlement blocs (UN Security Council Resolution 242, drafted after the Six-Day War, never envisioned a full Israeli withdrawal to the pre-1967 lines in any case)." 2. The Circus is providing entertainment of a sort. I have been amusing myself by reading the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" and similar such documents. They are only for reprimanding law abiding, peaceful societies.

    1. Hi Looney :D!

Isn't it though? Oh, have you read the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child? So noble and yet so violated on a daily basis, especially to protect the Human Rights of criminal adults...
Yes, you hit the nail on its head. I think legal instruments today mean little to politicians...I mean, look at President Putin.

Looney, thank you so much for your comment :D.

  3. The west insists on making a fool of themselves these days, I wonder why? There's no pride anymore. Politicians shoot first and ask questions later, what a bunch, huh? You asked a very good question Max: who's manipulating those guys? Answer: Arabs. This has petro-dollars all over it, I tell you.

  4. Moronic politicians! And we keep on voting for these people. I hope Cameron goes down next year, he's a total wanker. As for the American State Dept, I love that chick...what's her name....Jen Psaki/Pseki? She's a total idiot but hot as hell, I bet they put her up to it to say stupid things about Israel again. The EU is a total failure so why listen to them? They lost all credibility and btw what is that shit of saying the Jerusalem is to be included in the peace negotiations? Did they forget 'east'?

    1. Hi Mike :D!

No wonder people have been losing "faith" in politics, right?
LOL oh God...yes, her name is Jen Psaki. It would be interesting to know who puts her up to it, indeed.
The EU is a failure that influences many people, so we must follow their activities closely. It is about to change faces, so let's see how it will go with the next legislature. I'm not sure whether they forgot it or not, but they are lying to themselves if they think that Jerusalem is not the Jewish Capital.

Mike, thank you so much for your super comment :D.

  5. What a blunder. I wish the world would realize how important is to support Israel right now; they're doing a great job for us and they're giving intel about ISIL, people wake up and smell the coffee, ok? Israel has been very patient so I wonder what's in it for them too?

  6. Incredible how these clowns operate. At least Obama shut the hell up! Cameron is going down, the EU is being humiliated by the US and Russia hahaha and the UN is losing credibility, so they should just shut their trap before we do it for them. They just keep lying to the people!
