It can't be easy being a parent. Before I commence, I'd like to pay my respects to all parents in the world: God bless you! I have always found it so cute when kids start saying what they want to be when they grow up (of course half of them end up by being something completely diverse of what they had initially planned): ballerina, fireman, police officer, doctor, singer etc. And parents always bear proud and shiny faces. However I wonder which look their countenance would bear, and what reaction they’d have, if their kids would convey their wish to be an undertaker, for example... But there is worse... Me Young You Old, You Young Me Old

Love is a magical feeling: it brings light into the household of darkness; it bestows upon you happiness; it softens the hardest of hearts; it melts the iciest of beings and helps us to evolve. Love ignores the boundaries of age. However, society has managed, once again, to express its bigotry, lack of sensibility; poor judgment and, foment sexism even when it comes to feelings. Who the bloody hell decided that a lady (let's say, in her 40's or more) should not be involved with young men (for example, in their 20's or 30's)? Moreover, why are they labelled as cougars or pumas when they do so? We all know that whenever a lady falls in love with a younger man, people will either say "Oh, he's after her money" or "Oh, he's seeking for adventure with a more experienced woman" or even "What a waste! So many beautiful young ladies around, and he chose to be involved with an old bad". Let's analyse these ridiculous

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.” (Exodus 20:7) I have invested a fair amount of time thinking about this commandment (specially after LS drew my attention to the fact that I was taking God’s name in vain, when commenting one of his intellectual delicatessens) and I would like to invite you to ponder upon this unusual topic… It is not uncommon to hear that God’s name is not to be taken lightly nor to be written if we know that there is the slightest chance of it being deleted or burned ( N.B : any text or book containing God’s name is to be buried). …What the bloody hell does this mean? Last week, I heard some disturbing news: gypsy children are receiving their academic education in a container, separated from the other kids (who are being lectured in a recently refurbished school). This class is comprised of 6-16 years old children – all mixed together. This is happening in the Boa Negra primary school, in Barcelos (North of Portugal). The justification offered, by a governmental institution (that oversees educational matters), is that the school is executing a positive discrimination (plus, it is not a mere container, it is one with A/C: oh, that makes it all better, doesn’t it?). Discrimination : “The practice of treating one person or group of people less fairly or less well than other people or groups”. For some reason, investing in defence and security is looked at with suspicion (as if freedom and liberties were at risk) so that funds can be channelled to what is viewed as more pressing issues - i.e. social benefits. The military, military intelligence, the secret services, federal agencies and security forces (in general) employ, directly, a lot of people. Women were created to help men, to be their balance; however since women’s emancipation the definition of “help” may have changed a bit (at least, in the mind of many women). This past weekend, I heard a most disturbing episode (taken place in England): a man, secretly, administered steroids to his wife, for three months, so that she’d become ugly and fat enough to quit her job and finally stay at home to take care of their children.
